C-16 2007-2008 Interagency Agreement between the School Board of Clay County and The Young Men's Christian Association of Florida's First Coast, Inc. and Take Stock in Children
Issue/Rationale
Sharing of information between YMCA and SBCC will address the needs of selected students and provides appropriate programs and services to prevent these students from not completing their education. TSIC awards Florida Prepaid College Scholarships to selected at-risk students to motivate the students to stay in school, earn good grades, stay alcohol and drug-free and to stay out of the Juvenile Justice system.
Recommended Action
Approve the 2007-2008 Interagency Agreement between the School Board of Clay County and The Young Men's Christian Association of Florida's First Coast, Inc. and Take Stock in Children as submitted.
Financial Impact
SBCC will continue to provide in-kind services, including office space, office furniture, computer, and access to a copy machine and a fax machine to the TSIC Coordinator housed at the OPHS Annex.
